Goa-north goa

it is country club resort at Anjuna Beach

Goa-north goa

we took a one day tour for north Goa, from Fernandes travels, here the buses are normal ones, no AC coaches. But in Goa, though weather is humid and sultry, breeze is so much, sometimes it looks as if you are going to fly with this fast wind, its really pleasant.North Goa is mainly beaches, first Miramamr beach, its in the city of Panaji,3 kms only, then Fort Aguada---this is actually a reservoir for water supply, as Aguada means water in portugese, its a 17th century fort, now looks like in ruins like in Mandu ,we passed thru a lake and boating point where dolphin shows are organise, sadly not there now a days(same reason-offseason),( i took this trip in July) for the namesake he took us to a temple also, nothing famous, as the famous shanta durga temple is on some height and one has to climb some stairs and all, passed through mapusa city, its famous for its friday bazar, not there now a days-again the same reason:(,its capital is Bardez, then to Vagator beach--here Rangeela was shot, and many other movie, its quite long and they say there is avery good statue of head of lord shiva made by some hippy, though we couldnt see it as it needs lot of walking and climbing rocky train, me being an old person not possible, but its surroundings were beautiful with tall tress all around, thought they are spread all over goa.Next is Calungate beach, this is the longest beach and very popular in the season and last is Anjuna in this tour, at Anjuna Musafir was shot:). We had lunch at vagator beach, as that was the scheduled spot from the tour management, and as usual it was not good food.
One thing I saw in Goa that most of the restaurants are bamboo shacks with music and all, and speciality everywhere is sea food, and most of the people sitting ,drinking, as wine, feni, bear everything is very popular and cheap here.
we always had dinner at our resort, as the vegetarian food was just superb over there with good service and very nice , romantic surroundings .(ducks roaming in the waterways-I liked watching them).

Note..I own a membership in Country club and I would like to rent out my time share sometimes. In Goa their resort is at Anjuna beach.a very good location and it has very good facilities too..rest places also one may check on their website.http://www.countryvacationsindia.com/..if anybody is interested in going there, please mail me ..it takes two weeks to get the reservations done.

SOME SHAYARI

My nephew...Rahul keeps writing a lot, and this time when I saw his shayari, i was surprised to see a young boy writing so deeply..I am sharing some with you all......

"unhone hume kuch is tareh chod diya zindagi ke beech majdhar me.
..maut ki arzoo bhi na kar sakey hum unke laut ke aney ke intezaar me!!"

"mehfillo ki shano shaukat me bhi aapki baato jaisa maza kahan..
.pehle meelo ka safar kat jaata tha aapki zulfo ke saaye me...
.par ab toh hum ruk kar khoye rehte hai unhi chand palo ki yaado me...
.jhoota lagta hai ye sara sansaar...
.ek aapko chodke sach kuch bhi toh nahi!!"

"woh sheesha hi kya jisme aapki parchai na dikh sake....
.woh dil hi kya jisme aapki rooh na bas sake...
.zaroor dekhe honge aapne apne ashiq hazzar..
.par woh aashiq hi kya jo apke liye jal na sake..

.jaan toh khuda ki den hai jab chahe maaang lo..
.mera dil toh tumhare aankhoon ki roshni hai .
.isse jab chahe bhuja do"

"pani ki mithas toh koi pyasey se pooche...
.aapki muskaan ki khoobsoorti koi humse aise pooche jaise ambar ki sarhad koi pakshi se pooche...
.aapke liye is dil ki tadap koi humari dhadkan se pooche...
mit gaye pyar ke khel me kayi..
.jo zindagi mili mar ke koi humsey pooche...
har baar dil jalakar jo rohni mili koi humse pooche..
.tum jo ho agar kisi aur ke..
.ghayal wafa jo kuch reh gayi koi humse pooche"

"kyun aye ho tum meri zindagi me ek haseen nagma banke...
.reh na paunga me us judai ke alam me...
chale jao na tum ek chota sa haseen sapna banke!!"

Part 2

For my last post, not many people gave their point of view, as I know that they neither can agree, nor would like to say that I am wrong...And my good friend Amrita thinks that since now I am a MIL I can think of that side only. aisa nahi ha.MILs   USED to be like that but today tables have turned....whether someone believes it or not, I cant force anyone, but I try to be always fair in life...And whenever this topic comes, most of the readers go off the point and comment on generality.instead give your point of view on THAT particular point I am raising.because in one post we cant cover such a vast and volcanic relationship of Saas bahu:)

Now i am going to tell you some real things..how today girls are behaving and you tell me ..is all that right..when we are so vocal aabout MILs terming them monster inlaws and giving them a bad name/..today being a MIlL means a meek person always looking for appreciation/sanction  from the younger lot for the myriad things she does for them..

A....she always gives her MIL stale and spoiled food, whereas she is cooking lot many things.but MIL always gets half cooked or burnt items.

B..when she was getting married.it was clearly told that boy is from an ordinary family and only son and parents are going to stay with them, but after marriage, she went on to stay separately and poor father is doing some small job to sustain himself ,........

C..She wouldnt cook for her MIL, and her food comes daily from a dhaba, whereas she goes on with her life
     normally.

D..She asked her MlLnot to eat anything cooked by her, do everything herself, though her husband is a CEO and they are very affluent, but MIL is not supposed to take part of anything.

E..She starts crying even if she listens that her Ma is having high BP or something but ignores completely her MIL who is constantly battling with multiple diseases,..selective sensitivity.

F. A girl, asks the prospective groom..how many dust bins you have?..by dustbins she meant his family memebers,,,,though obviously she was not chosen.

I know many more incidences of being cruel and insensitive by DILs.now dont tell me that may be son is at fault or INLAWS have done something very wrong..I have quoted only those examples where inlaws are normal  people..what will you say about them?

Just be impartial and tell me is all this right on part of girls?..is it okay to put aside your old parents like that, when they need you most..if we go on like this, a time will come when parents will also start being self centred, and it will be a sad day.

Yes women were victimised earlier, but we cant do one wrong to remove the other one...

.if earlier girls parents were looked down upon, then we cant humiliate boy's parents today..

Negative remedies never work for the betterment neither for people individually, nor for society..we must learnt to respect others first.

I read on someone's blog..today boys dont want to marry a girl who doesnt have brother..earlier older people used to think that without brother she will not have any peehar and all that , but one thing I know that those girls who dont have brothers have more radical thinking and sometimes not a balanced outlook, because they have seen only one side, they are fiercely protective of their parents and in a hurry to prove themselves that they are not any less than boys and in the process if some people are hurt so be it.And they are not bad at heart but they need to show the world..and assert themselves.

SOME RANDOM THOUGHTS

when 2G scam people got bail, there was so much of media coverage and welcome..why? were they coming out after doing something extraordinary.or patriotic or it was some achievement?

Why papers brand people..like two Bihari students nabbed..was there any necessity to write Bihari?..was the crime associated with their home town?

Why all the negative news and people are given front page and rest the last? why give publicity to bad people?

Why Neetu Chandra is a permanent feature in TOI page 3 everyday  ? is there any connection?..Now dont ask me who is that..thats what I wonder, because  she doesnt have much on her achievements list, still given all the space all the time.....

Why in any insurgent operation, media highlights that they were tracked because of informers?.why put them in danger?.and i thought informers were protected.

ANGRY TINY TOTS

Yes that was the title of the article in TOI...children are getting angry and aggressive at a very young stage and the reason specialists attribute it to is...parenting.or atleast it has the biggest role.

Today parents want to give children everything they couldnt get as a child, never thinking about what is good for them.

Parents pamper the children with things..in the process making them feel that things are most important in life.

And the kids are growing up to be self centred and materialistic and want to get everything fast and not with much efforts.

children should be taught from the beginning....
the value of restraint,
importance of hard work..that nothing comes free
Living within means..today people say that Indian economy is most resilient, then it is because of Indian habits of saving ,living within means, but if we adopt the habits of living like there is no tomorrow, or living on credit cards, we shall be there  sooner or later..in the recession....

SIBLINGS

Yesterday I was reading outlook money.my favourite magazine and there was an article by Sumana Mukherjee about financial inequality in siblings and its effect on relationships.

Earlier when there were many siblings, it was well nigh impossible for all of them to be in the same league, though today with one or two children its possible,.So is it possible to maintain cordiality without jealousy and sarcasm?

I think it is possible and for that everybody needs to be sensitive, not to his/her own feelings but for others. For those who are well off..they must restrain a little when with others, conversations shouldnt be all the time about acquiring things only, rather the time together should be spent in common interests.Never thrust your affluence in other's face....
And those not so well off, they need to develop some confidence that  their family loves them, and money doesnt make the life go round. They must learn to live happily within their means without expecting to get anything from siblings or grudging them their riches.

Life is all about perspectives....this is mine what about you?

MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN

The movie starts with a fight between Luv(Ali Jaffer) and his girl friend Piyali Patel in London and they break up after a long relationship of 5 years and then calls his brother Kush( Imran) in India to find him a girl, as he wants to marry and settle down. And the search starts and they find it is not so easy..Then thru some advt, they come across Dimple( katrina ) who  has lived in London all the time and is a total Bindaas girl who is misunderstood in India..both point of views are very good like...
in India any girl who is carefree and wears mini or Western clothes is considered easy and slut and everybody thinks that she could sleep with everyone.
Every country has its own culture and sensibilities and there is nothing wrong or right in them, but one has to either live accordingly or bear the consequences.
She is chosen and the preparation starts and suddenly it dawns on both..Kush and Dimple , that they are in love..and now the movie is all about their planning about getting each other in a respectable way.

The movies is good, Imran's understated acting always is so endearing and katrina has also done it very well, except a few places where she is over the top.
All in all worth a watch:)
