I feel very frustrated when some famous people say that politics and sports should be kept separate or music and politics should be kept separate. arent sports and music a part of our life and arent our soldiers a part of our life? If our hand is hurt our eyes cry, can we keep them separate and say dont feel hurt? Our soldiers are not killed, they are BEHEADED...shouldnt we say in one voice.we shall not tolerate it?.Is it politics to feel for our fellow countrymen?...
How can people even think about AMAN KI AASHA and SUR SHETRA with this back ground. We are considered weak if we think humane.War is not the answer and so is these culture exchanges..First we must make ourselves strong in all respects..internal, security and border security..and traitors should be punished, cleanse our own society, only then think about any cultural or otherwise exchanges.

The war it is said in support of sports or cultural exchanges is between two governments and the people are not at war.So goes the argument that cultural exchanges or playing matches with them strengthen the contacts amongst the people and in turn may influence the governments to abjure war. This is debatable.
However inhuman beheading/mutilation ,torture of soldiers or violation of international conventions have no place in civilized society
What you say is right, Renu! I didn't like the hockey match or cricket match played between Pakistan and and India. Well, we have to honor the Cricket board, but at what cost?
I hated Sur Kshetra. Whey should we involve them in our music programme. They were not even polite.
Let us hope for a good leader in the future.
I agree with you. We need to be little more tough with criminals and attackers. Let us clean the misfits among us first and then open doors to the so called cultural exchanges...
True that! seriously how can we even think of such shams....as in whaaaaaat is the point? we have maintained good cultural and athletic ties.. but to what end? dont the political heads of the other country have some responsibility too???? There can never be a one sided relationship and sadly our country is maintaining one and a very costly one! i have no clue whom they are trying to please. this topic angers me to no end. seriously.... my mouth froths x-(
Truth is bitter in this insincere world.
politics is everywhere and everything is related with Politics.
one can not keep politics separate from music.
i always say and now also say same we do not have any foreign policy.
its very sad I read that news ..Pakistan ..can never improve.. it sucks now!
War or no war they should be given befitting reply!
Well said!
i agree with you .. this cultural / cricket exchange is nothing but another way to fool others ( here others refers to india) ..
we so very much till date unknowingly follow Nehruvian ideology of being/doing good at harming oneself !
Our government is weak, it cannot take any tough decisions. When the media shouts and questions their inaction, then they come out in a very weak manner, like the Kasab case, why did we have to entertain a criminal, spending so much of the tax payer's money.
Any other government would have cut off all relations with a country like Pakistan.
Pakistani people are not all bad, nor do we Indians have anything against them, it is the government that is bad and corrupt on both sides. All these cultural exchanges bring no harmony between two warring countries.
Asking questions are in fact nice thing if you are not understanding anything
fully, except this paragraph presents fastidious understanding even.

Right you are! How easily we forget that we have hanged only Kazab who was just a criminal trained to kill while the masters still roam free in Pakistan; free to plan another attack. When this question is asked to Aman Ki Asha's they ask me if we have proof! was Kasab not proof enough? Did US go after these terrorists with any more proof after Sep 11? I am not advocating war but Pakistan needs to be more serious if India should continue with Aman Ki Thamasha.
True Renu, this is called hypocrisy, we say something and feel something else. Well written.
