Life's Truths for Adults

Life's Truths for Adults
=========================

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to
immediately clear your computer history if you die.

2. There is nothing worse than that moment during an
argument when you realize you're wrong.

3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap
when I was younger.

4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.

5. Really, how ARE you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?

6. Was learning cursive really necessary?

7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5.
I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.

8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told
you how the person died.

9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of
tired.

10. Bad decisions make good stories.

11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a
moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to
do anything productive for the rest of the day.

12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after
Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection ...
again.

13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word
and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page
technical report that I swear I did not make any changes to.

14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never
wash this - ever.

15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello?
Hello? Shoot!), but when I immediately call back, it rings
nine times and goes to voice mail. What did you do after I
didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?

16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and
then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a
waste.

17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I
know not to answer when they call.

18. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.

19. I wish Google Maps had an "Avoid Ghetto" routing option.

20. Sometimes, I'll watch a movie that I watched when I was
younger and suddenly realize I had no idea what was going on
when I first saw it.

21. I would rather try to carry ten over-loaded plastic bags
in each hand than take two trips to bring my groceries in.

22. The only time I look forward to a red light is when I'm
trying to finish a text.

23. I have a hard time deciphering the fine line between
boredom and hunger.

24. How many times is it appropriate to say "What?" before
you just nod and smile because you still didn't hear or
understand a word they said?

25. I love the sense of camaraderie when an entire line of
cars team up to prevent a jerk from cutting in at the front.
Stay strong, brothers and sisters!

26. Shirts get dirty. Underwear gets dirty. Pants? Pants
never get dirty, and you can wear them forever.

27. Is it just me, or do high school kids get dumber and
dumber every year?

28. There's no worse feeling than that millisecond you're
sure you are going to die after leaning your chair back a
little too far.

29. Sometimes I'll look down at my watch three consecutive
times and still not know what time it is.

30. Even under ideal conditions people have trouble locating
their car keys in a pocket, finding their cell phone, and
Pinning the Tail on the Donkey - but I'll bet everyone can
find and push the snooze button from three feet away, in
about 1.7 seconds, eyes closed, first time, every time!

KYA HUA TERA VADA

Recently I started watching the serial..kya hua tera vaada on Sony TV..here a middle class couple with three children is living happily, and then husband gets his ex girlfriend as his boss and then what happens...is though quite predictable, but i felt enraged when I heard the husband saying..i also have a life, my dreams to fulfil..hey hellooo..what is this I?..Are not the children yours too?.How could he be so callous after 12 years of marriage and three children...It is only men who can think of their personal dreams and life more than the children,  women would never do...because they are strong, can take the responsibilities better and thats why mothers are revered more.......But on the other hand I totally dislike the girls or women who get into a relationship with a married man knowingly...they are totally without any values and they hurt the cause of woman more than the man. This serial is coming out very well..now the MIL of betrayed wife, supports and makes her stand on her feet..now the fight is on... the second woman versus whole family,friends..interesting to watch...
Its one thing to attract a a man, but very difficult to manage family children and other responsibilities

Nobody ever gets everything in life, there are always some addition or subtractions. But the dignity lies in making our life beautiful and complete with whatever we have.Today the trend has started that people marry in haste and repent at leisure...and then marry again...I cant understand what they are looking for?.But in this situation it is the children who are most disturbed and a generation of hyper sensitive , unstable people is being created.
Most of the women of my generation envy the young people thinking..how much freedom they have, they get to choose a partner, career and day to day living too...But is their life happier than us..Ok we compromised a lot, but we gave our children a stable home to come back too.to original parents.
Even today . younger generation also compromises a lot, the difference is they do it all thinking of themselves only, but we did it for others, so in the end we have a great satisfaction atleast.

some quotes I love...

Two best bequests one can give to the offssprings is ROOTS & WINGS( support and freedom).

"Treat everyone with politeness, even those who are rude to you, not because they are nice, but because you are nice"

for me and my house, our credo is: There is no success ina career that can make up for a failure in the family.

Life is more strict than a teacher as teacher teaches first and then takes the exam, life takes the exam first and then teaches.

we make a living by what we get,we make a life by what we give.

Ability is what you are capable of doing. motivation determines how you do , attitude determines how well you do it.

5 important lessons from an humble pencil----
you can always correct the mistake.
what is important is-what is inside you not outside.
In life you shall undergo painful sharpeningswhich will make you better in whatever you do.
lastly to be the best you must allow yourself to be held and guided by the hand that holds you.
He that never changes his opinions, never corrects his mistakes, and will never be wiser on the morrow than he is today।

Dont complain ; work harder ।

hard work has a future pay off.laziness pays off NOW !

If you have love in your life,it can make up for a great many things you lack, if u dont have it, no matter what else there is,its not enough.

EACH OF US IS A VITAL THREAD IN ANOTHER PERSON'S TAPESTRY, OUR LIVES ARE WOVEN TOGETHER FOR A REASON.

One aspect of wisdom is knowing when to hang on...and when to let go.

In my earlier post I wrote about a book, and someone was asking where to get it, its available at flipcart or it can be bought at....http://www.hpwriteandread.com/book-purchase.php.

NARAYAN MURTHY

It has been a long time since I wrote anything and I am thankful to 3 of my friends who even asked me.whats up:)..actually i was out on my annual trip to my hometown and then my son and Son and DIL came with our little moppet...
I have so much to share, but dont know from where to start...I shall start with what I heard on TV yesterday.it was a conversation with Narayna Murthy about going for a better samaaj( I wrote it in Hindi, because word society doesnt give me the same feeling as samaaj:)..Whatever he said were the golden words to be remembered by everyone....

First we must start with making a custom of respecting 10 people in our mohalla every year..people who are honest and ethical..make respectable more respectable..show it that it matters to everyone.

If we get a GDP growth of 6% with the values and transparency, its far more better than 9% growth gained thru corruption or without values.

Till every child in our country gets the basics..food, clothes, shelter, education and health care..all wealthy people must live simply.....vulgar display of wealth is violence.

One may fare better in the short term, but in the long term only ethics and honesty gives the good returns and long lasting happiness.

I have always admired him, but now I am in real awe...He is a real icon.
