Swaminarayan temple

Yesterday we went to Swaminarayan temple here and it is very huge and amazingly clean and grand and makes you feel very much at home and I think the same trust has made one in Toronto too...and near by they have an Indian restaurant.Shayona with shop too and they sell everything Indian, we had dhokla samosa and aloo bonda..everything was very tasty.

Traffic in London is as  bad as in India and sometimes even worse..its very irritating to travel in car, as even 14 miles take around one hour minimum, roads are narrow and  bumpy and traffic sense is completely missing...its chaotic sometimes....so much so that  we go by tube even for airports.

We went to see Westfield Mall..its newly constructed and huge also, but I have seen better mall in Toronto, so didnt find so amazing.....here one section is called..The Village and it has all designer brands like..Gucci, Dior, coach, Jimmy choo etc etc..I had seen one ladies hand bag in India being sported by many celebrities and in Aisha also, and everywhere they write..price on request, so I was very curious to know it and when I got the opportunity I asked,,it was for 1600 pounds:)

When I was in Zurich, I thought that it was very expensive, as I had seen US and it is very reasonable, but now when I am in London, I find it the most expensive city and I dont feel like doing any shopping.,not that I wanted to do any:)

Here the girls for housework areeasily available and quite reasonable too, I feel very sad that girls from India come here and do all menial jobs for pennies and are still happy though they are living alone in a new country without their family and working so much, why cant our govt provide some opportunities in our own country to earn a decent living.

Good to hear about your escapades in London. I know it is sad that people go that far to do such jobs.

I too felt that London is expensive than California. But I didn't notice the bumpy roads...my opinion is the roads are clean without any plastic bags and lane discipline was there.

We missed visiting the temple last time.

Enjoy the holidays, Renu!

Nice post..my friend...
However, East of West..India is the best is the evergreen thought which we always think from the bottom of our hearts. However, people are migrating to other countries only to earn more money than other people in the motherland. Anyway, good informative post..

You are right about the traffic in London! I had been to that temple many years ago ... I suppose I was still a kid back then! :)

If the situation in India were good enough, why should anyone go out at all!
