DESI BOYS

When i saw Desi boys i was wondering.why films fail or hit? because this movie was quite entertaining, and it never got mentioned anywhere, whereas many worse movies got so much talked about and some got even awards...sometimes i feel that in every sphere of life its not meritocracy but many other things....

This is a movie about two friends in London who get the pink slip in the times of recession and take up the job of male entertainers to sustain themselves. The best part of this movie is Anupam kher, he just lights the screen with his role and the most jarring is Chitrangda.neither her character in the movie, nor her acting, everything is so artificial....true the movie is comedy, so nothing serious about it, but even there she is not tolerable.Akshay, Deepika and John..they all essay their roles effortlessly...

Now a days Sony has really some good serials on air..I am loving..Parvarish...the interactions between husband wife, father and son and parents and children all are shown how they happen, their attitudes and thinking is so real, that it touches a chord somewhere.worth a watch..

Hehe! I don't don't about Desi boys because I haven't seen the movie yet. Though I'm madly in love with the song 'Subah hone na de' from the movie. it's just too wonderful. :)

And yes, I too watch Parvarish without fail. It's one serial I don't want to miss. And I also think all parents should watch it along with their children. Many things to learn form it. :)

happy you are enjoying the serial Renu. I hate some serials where no logic is applied and women always are made to sob. So I have stopped watching these. I must have a look at the one you mentioned.

Enigma: watch it, its total fun..:)

Yes parvarish is shaping very well..and very genuine too.

Chitra: yes even I dont watch many serials, but once in a while there is a good one too..

I haven't heard about the movie. Will watch when it comes again in TV.

Somehow except Balika Vadhu and Shivaji (just OK serial, though), I don't get time to watch any other serial. Balika vadhu is interesting again after Surekha Sikhri came back after her real life illness. She is a good actress.

Your date of publishing says '24th Feb.'12'!

True many good movies go unnoticed, unless somebody sees and recommends it. Did you see it in TV?
I remember 'Flavors' a movie that was a real comedy, and all the actors in that movie acted so well. It was because somebody had seen it and loved and told my daughter about it that we saw. It is of course more than 10 years old but even if one gets to see it now it is still very relevant.

Sandhya: Earlier I used to get confused between Uttara Baokar and surekha seekri, but now no more..yes she is a very good actress and the serial is going on well, but chk this parvarish too..

this publishing date is my mistake, i was setting it and went wrong:)

rama: Now a days too much unnecessary PR goes and makes a difference too..
Flavors.is it an english movie?

Bikram: yes..its a total fun, I didnt realise that two hours went by when it was finished.

Flavors is a Hindi/English movie shot in the US. You can ask for it in the DVD lending shop. I can't really remember the names of the actors, though they are very famous serial and movie actors. It is a real fun movie.
Once I even saw it in the TV, but they never repeated it.
Now I remember the main Character is the fellow who acted in "Wagala ki Duniya"
