Hypocricy

With time everything changes. Earlier most of the people used to have a complex or feeling about something lacking in them..even if they did good to everyone, they thought they were not able to do it fully, they could have done better or more. But today their is excess in everything..most of the people I meet , think and say..
I am the best..
I go all out to help everybody.
People take advantage of me( but hello when everybody is being taken advantage, where are the people who take it:)
I am very honest in my dealings..whereas they may not be honest to their family even.

I felt very strange when a woman who didnt want her inlaws to stay with her and was totally out of her mind when they stayed with her for 6 months, telling me . this when it was earthquake there..I ask them so much that stay with us you are old, cant manage on your own.. but they dont want to...

Then someone hates corruption and then tells me that his father is very well off because he was an engineer in PWD...connect the dots:)

Then a totally biased and unfair person saying..I will teach my child to be fair in everything..hey.how can or will you teach that when you yourself are not?

A totally lazy person telling me that she/he is a cleanliness freak.

I have hundreds of statements like this .told me by hypocritical people.and I fail to understand why people lie so much or put up a facade? Does anybody gets fooled by this? I never do.

Very true.WE come across such persons in plenty professing something and doing the opposite. They think they are clever and others cannot see through their cunning.

Most people are hypocrites in some way or the other! It is a question of degree...if it does not impact you directly, no point in being affected as one can't really change other people...that's my point of view.

What you say is very true, Renu! I have come across people who are just opposites of the face they project outside.

I too have faced such people creating fake images. I think the status is something what we really are and not the reflection of others.

Hello greetings and good wishes.

You have hit the nail on the head. Hypocrisy is common thing among people these days. The reason probably is that every one wants to present a good picture of them to others. Every one thinks they are better than the others, they are good, they are honest, they are helpful, they are compassionate, they are spotlessly clean, they don't accept bribe, they work hard, they are clever, they are generous but the fact remains that if you observe their actions closely they are exactly opposite.

The modern world has become dishonest in all respects and that is why there is corruption from top to bottom and making money is the primary concern of most people. Our politicians lead the way. It is said that more than one third of the MP's have criminal cases against them and yet they re voted to power at every election and therefore they are in a position make the law for us and not for them. It is virtually impossible to arrest a politician for bribery or any other criminal offence but a common man can easily be arrested and punished.

Hypocrisy is the hall mark of the of the so called civilized society in which we are living. Say one thing and do exactly the opposite thing. Say one thing to impress others and do the opposite when no one is watching.

Excellent post, very thought provoking.

Best wishes

Oh, it is all about showing the right face to the world, Renu!Earlier we had PR agencies to blow on our trumpets but today we have social media at the service of everyone. So we have the 'Í am the best' kind of statements galore.

Renu, so well written. Infact hink about it, in some form or the other other we all are hypocrites, we visit relatives, who we know speak ill of us, but societal norms make us polite and social. I think this kind of hypocrisy is still tolerable. But the ones you mentioned, are the true cause why our society is rotting

very honest and candid

Jeevan: it should be like that only.

Joseph Pulicotil:True..we cry hoarse about corruption but in our own life we dont mind it.

Zephyr: But what is the point..truth always come out.

Sulagna:I wish we remove this facade..
