Profile pics

Today When i was going thru whats app and then later on facebook, something dawned on me..On the profile pics the preferences are quite revealing like..

Most of the feminine gender puts herself first in the pic, then her children, then parents and siblings...last but almost never husband...
None of them ever record any presence of inlaws in their life.(except when they are bad,to them.)whether they visit, they make any trip with them whatever, just block them out...no mention or pic of them even on bdays anniversaries ever...

For their parents they go on about everything..

Now...the male chauvinistic men:)..as we love to call them...They put first their wives, then wife and children and last theirs only pic..but never parents...(may be it will make them feel sissy or less macho .

And then i hear most of the girls complaining that their husbands are so obedient to their parents, they cant see beyond them..all that...

I am not saying that FB and Whats app can define a person, NO, but most of our actions involuntarily show our thinking and personality..

These are just my observations, not a slur on anybody..what is your opinion..tell me..

Wow Renu such an interesting observation!!! I love such posts which make me think. Now let me put forth my analysis!:) It's easy to analyse the men. They are pretty infrequent first of all in putting dp s. My male friends have pics 3 years old including husband. Then they try things which will incite conversation with peers. They don't talk about moms and dads. They talk another cars, photography, kids maybe. So mostly that's the order.
Girls try to put pics which will get most 'likes'. So it's their pretty self and family! Parents take precedence because their friends might know them as in pals from school N college. In laws are recent and will mostly gather likes and comments from family and in laws. They make up max 30 likes(you can't have more than that in your friends list) while school and college pals can be 50-100.
I personally put pics which I have a witty caption about. ;)

And I have lots of friends who post quite a lot of pictures with loving in laws. Of festivals and celebrations and eat outs with them!

Right or wrong they are expressing their thoughts. That is ok with me.

Amrita: Thanks:)...I know that men think differently and do in a different way...
I really like and admire the people who are fair in their relationships..and the way I know you, you are a good balance of everything..modern and traditional both..

I don't know why people pour their heart out on facebook. I mean some things are shared only with certain people. Or is it that sharing things on the net gives them a feeling of distance and they do not realise that it is the other way around. You are letting strangers into your life.

The reason that men are never in the picture is because most men are not interested, and for all you know, they are the photographers in most cases.
Well, everyone is not being selective, I have seen many friends who have pictures of their families from both sides, I have myself put up pictures.
Anyway, it is each one's choice, and they should be allowed their freedom to put pictures as they please.
Believe me I have to search for pictures of my husband, and others, for they are never anywhere when pictures are being taken.
Anyway, men can have their pictures in their own FB page if they are really keen.

Radha: today most of the people want everything at their own convenience..so real relationships are not easy..and they want to get wah wahs..

Hello greetings and good wishes.

You have done a fantastic research on FB and Whatsup photos.

Many things you have written are true. The only thing I know is that some friends on FB don't comment at all. Many other friends restrict themselves to ticking the like button. To me it looked as though all these friends are too busy to write a comment.

Excellent post. I enjoyed reading it.

Best wishes

Joseph Pullicotil:I also click like button so many times, its like acknowledging the post:)..because everytime I see a picture, I cant say much..

dilip: sorry dilip..I have to moderate the comments,...I think its better to put your own pic because people can relate to you then:)
