What are they doing?

First in Maharashtra congress waived of loans of those farmers who didnt pay...it was like penalising those who were honest and paid..because all the farmers must be treated equally..why award the defaulters..there are many other ways of helping those in distress but this type of ruling sends a wrong signal...but who cares, if it was their own money they would think twice before spending...

Then in Delhi  govt. waived of 50% of electricity bills of those who were defaulters..what does it tell us..its better not to pay, you may get it waived off..why cant they reward those who are paying?

Telengana bill is passed amid secrecy...and tamasha..we elect people to take decisions in majority, and if majority of elected people is not in favour then why do it? Everything should be transparent and clear..

Now in TN Former prime minister's killers are freed....I fail to understand the feeling behind it..
Is it because they(govt) feel that killers were justified in doing what they did?..But then no body should be allowed to take law in his own hand, because if we did, then there will be murders everyday, because there is always some injustice is being done to some one somewhere and for that we have courts to get justice.we cant show our angst thru violence, violence has no place in a civic society
In crimes.no religion, region or caste should interfere, and doing politics in such cases totally disgusts me..

This is called vote bank politics. All politicians have no shame. They are thick skinned. If after the election, Congress needs ADMK MPs support, Sonia and Jayalakithaa will sing "bhai bhai" - oops sorry "behan behan".

It is sad what politicians get away with here. Normally I try and stay away from politics and for this reason!

I agree! Justice should be based on rules rather become favor to somebody.

After seeing this example even the farmers who had conscience and tried their best to pay back their loan will refrain from it. They will wait for the politicians to waive their loan too! Our politicians are poisoning all minds here.
People who are sincere are fools!

I just don't understand why the killers who are convicted should be freed now. Thank god the court has stayed it! TN Govt. cannot do anything. Jaya also is acting for catching votes.

The situation here is worsening because of the politicians.

Yes, indeed it sends a wrong signal to the public that defaulting is accepted. and i don't even want to write about telangana and how it affected the school students here and put their life to uncertainity.

And certainly agree that religion, caste and creed has to be kept out of politics and no one should vote if the party's principle is based on this. Although, few of us educated people know their tactics. it is the gullible rural people who vote them in exchange for a daaru bottle or some gift in kind or cash.

The fact is that many well to do people take loans with the hope that it will be waived off.

Good post well timed! I'll share this quote Groucho Marx to match the theme :)

"Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies"!
