This is about children. I am not sure who is the writer, may be Kahlil Gibran, But its worth reading
Your children are not your children
They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself.
And though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts;
For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies,but not their souls;
For their souls dwell in the house of TOMORROW,
Which you can not visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them; but seek not to make them like you,
For life does not go backward, nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children;
As living arrows are sent forth.
The archer (god ) sees the mark upon the path of the infinite ;
And he bends you with his might,
That his arrows may go swift and far.
Let your bending in the archer's hand be for goodness;
For even as he love the arrow that flies;
So he loves also the bow that is stable.
This is my favourite verse, so I think it must be by Gibran only as he is my favourite poet. here the emphasis on 2 moro and god written in bracket are my additions, just for the sake of explanation. Such a profound knowledge on parenting in so few words !

How correctly these thoughts warn today's parents who pass on their anxiety to their offspring and want to see them exel in every field without giving them the moral strength.
lLike they say na-the best gift we can give to our offsprings is the wings of freedom and roots of support.
This is another of your star clippings Ma!
I also love it the most.
